Motorcyclist injured after accident on BKE involving truck

SINGAPORE - A motorcyclist was injured after an accident on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE) Monday afternoon (July 9).

Police said that they were alerted to the accident involving a motorcycle and a tipper truck on the BKE in the direction of the Pan Island Expressway at 3.39pm.

The Straits Times understands that the truck had been stationary when the 30-year-old motorcyclist collided into it. The motorcyclist suffered multiple abrasions and a fracture.

Pictures posted on Facebook show the man bleeding from his left arm, which was heavily bandaged.

The police added that the man was conscious when taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
