A 72-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident with a tipper truck along the SLE towards CTE on the morning of Nov 22.

SINGAPORE – A 72-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident with a tipper truck along the SLE towards CTE on the morning of Nov 22.
In response to queries from The Straits Times, the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the accident, which took place near the Woodlands Avenue 12 exit, at around 8.55am that day.
The male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by an SCDF paramedic.
The tipper truck driver, 71, is assisting with ongoing investigations, the police added.
In footage posted on social media, a blue police tent can be seen on the rightmost lane of the expressway. Both the rightmost lane and the lane next to it appear to be closed. A police car and a police van are seen at the accident site. A motorcycle is parked on the rightmost lane.
The latest accident is the fifth reported fatal accident in more than two months involving a motorcyclist on Singapore roads.
