Most registered e-scooters do not meet new safety standard: Retailers

SINGAPORE - Most of the 85,000 e-scooters registered with the authorities here do not have a safety certification that will be compulsory from 2021, said major retailers.

Retailer Mobot said the number could be as high as 80,000, when contacted by The Straits Times on Wednesday (July 24).
