SINGAPORE - Spine surgeons in the public and private sectors have seen a surge in the number of teenage girls needing surgical intervention to correct severe scoliosis, or curvature of the spine.
Health screenings in schools were suspended between April 7 and June 1 in 2020 as part of measures to stem the tide of infections during the Covid-19 pandemic.
