More single women here seeking social egg freezing

Entrepreneur Carol Chen, 37, an American who has been working in Singapore for the past five years, went for social egg freezing in the US two years ago as Mr Right was not in sight and she wanted to have children of her own in the future. Egg freezing for non-medical reasons is banned in Singapore but the Government is "carefully reviewing" the possibility of allowing it.

With no Mr Right in sight and her biological clock ticking, entrepreneur Carol Chen flew to her hometown Dallas in the United States to freeze her eggs two years ago.
The 37-year-old founder of Covetella, a dress rental firm, said: "We take for granted that everything would work out, that we would get married and have kids by the time we are 30.
