SINGAPORE - There were more complaints of domestic helpers being made to work illegally by their employers or household members over the past two years.

The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said there had been an average of around 610 illegal deployment complaints each year from 2017 to 2021, up from 550 a year from 2017 to 2019.
