More child abuse cases come to light amid stepped-up efforts to detect and protect victims

SINGAPORE - She was only six years old when she was sexually assaulted at home by one of her two older brothers.

But Jill (not her real name) never told her parents about the assault as there was little communication in the family. She felt mentally abused at home and neglected by her parents and siblings.
