MOM could impose safety timeout as workplace deaths hit 9 this month

The eight workplace fatalities recorded in April are the worst since February last year, when 11 people died at work.

SINGAPORE - The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) is working with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council to implement a safety timeout here.
This, after one more worker died on Wednesday (April 27) and another died on Saturday (April 30), taking the death toll in April to nine.
