SINGAPORE -Three lorries and a minibus collided on the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE) on Tuesday (Mar 1) morning, causing traffic congestion.
The accident happened on the AYE towards the the city near the Jurong Town Hall Road exit around 9.15am, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said.
The minibus was the most severely damaged of the vehicles involved.
The minibus driver, who is in his 20s, was trapped in his vehicle. He was extricated using hydraulic rescue tools by SCDF officers.
He suffered abrasions on his leg and was taken to Ng Teng Feng General Hospital in a stable and conscious condition, SCDF said.
Police said investigations into the incident are ongoing.
The Land Transport Authority tweeted from about 9.30am that an accident on the AYE was causing congestion from the Jurong Town Hall Road exit to the Yuan Ching exit.
Two lanes of the expressway were blocked for a time, Lianhe Wanbao reported.
