Mingling with science's best and brightest

Singapore has become a brainier place this week.

The who's who in the world of science have gathered here to share their thoughts, and inspire up-and-coming researchers.

The Global Young Scientists Summit in Singapore, organised by the National Research Foundation, is a gathering of young researchers worldwide who will get the chance to interact with eminent scientists and technology leaders.

The summit was started in 2013 to inspire young scientists to chase their dreams through interactions with distinguished scientists and researchers, and with their peers.

It is also a platform for conversations on science and research, technology innovation and society, and solutions to global challenges.

It covers chemistry, physics, medicine, mathematics, computer science and engineering, among others.

Speakers include recipients of the Nobel Prize, Fields Medal, Millennium Technology Prize and Turing Award.

The theme for the summit is "Advancing Science, Creating Technologies for a Better World".
