Brightly coloured lanterns lit the Istana grounds last night, as some 50 children and their caregivers toured its sprawling gardens and historic buildings. The children, beneficiaries of Life Community Services Society and Shine Children and Youth Services, also met President Halimah Yacob during the event, which was organised by volunteers of Youth Corps Singapore in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
