SINGAPORE - A male Mediacorp employee has been dismissed after he was found “behaving suspiciously” inside a female toilet on the company’s premises.
In response to queries from The Straits Times, a Mediacorp spokesperson said on June 10 that the man’s employment was terminated with immediate effect following the “serious incident”.
The broadcaster said that the matter has been referred to the police and the man has been detained for further investigation.
It added it is unable to provide further details at this time.
“The safety and well-being of our employees is of paramount importance to us, and we remain committed to maintaining a safe and respectful workplace for all,” the spokesperson said.
Mediacorp is located at the Mediapolis at one-north in Buona Vista.
The police said on June 11 that a 28-year-old man was arrested for his involvement in a case of voyeurism.
