United States Marines yesterday during the Presenting Of The Colours ceremony as the world-renowned Philadelphia Boys Choir sang the US and Singapore national anthems at the celebration of the 242nd anniversary of the United States' independence, which was on July 4. The event organised by the US Embassy in Singapore was held at Gardens by the Bay, and featured cuisine from all corners of the US, such as bagels, gumbo, pulled pork, tacos, hot dogs and fried Oreos. Among the people present were Senior Minister of State for Defence Maliki Osman and Ms Stephanie Syptak-Ramnath, charge d'affaires of the US Embassy in Singapore.
