Here's a compilation of internships on offer across the island:

Institution: Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) 

EDB is the lead government agency for planning and executing strategies to enhance Singapore's position as a global business centre, with the aim of creating sustainable economic growth with vibrant business and good job opportunities. 

Internships are available in categories, such as Biomedical sciences, Cleantech/ Cities, Infrastructure & Industrial Solutions, Consumer Business, Electronics, Energy & Chemicals, Infocomms & media, Logistics, Natural Resources, Professional Services, Aerospace, Oil & Gas/Marine & Offshore, Human Capital Division and Human Resources.

Each internship typically spans over a period of ten weeks and held between May to August 2019.

This is open to Singaporean undergraduates studying Engineering, Science, and Economics, Business or other relevant disciplines in recognized local or overseas universities. Applicants should be in their penultimate year of studies, or at least six months away from graduation at the point of internship.

Institution: Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore (MFA)

The MFA aims to be an excellent Foreign Service that safeguards and advances Singapore’s interests.

The MFA offers two interships. The Undergraduate Internship Programme provides interns insights into the life of a Foreign Service Officer in either the Functional and Corporate track or the Political and Economic track.  Applicants must be Singapore citizens. The programme is open to students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree and who are keen to consider employment with MFA. 

The Pre-University Internship Programme offers interns insights into the life of a Foreign Service Officer. It is open to students in their final year of study in junior college, polytechnic or equivalent institutions or awaiting university admission. Applicants should be Singapore citizens or permanent residents who are intending to take up citizenship

Both are four week programmes where interns will be provided remuneration.

Institution: Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA)

The Urban Redevelopment Authority is Singapore’s land use planning and conservation authority which aims to make Singapore a great city to live, work and play in. 

URA offers internships in the following categories; InfoComm, Technology and New Media Communications. This is open to students from related disciplines of study and have a strong passion in the URA's vision and mission.

     Institution: Government Technology Agency of Singapore (GOVTECH)

Institution: National Heritage Board (NHB)

The National Heritage Board's mission is to preserve and celebrate the shared heritage of our diverse communities, for the purpose of education, nation-building and cultural understanding.

It manages the national museums and heritage institutions, and sets policies relating to heritage sites, national monuments and the national collection.

Through the national collection, NHB curates heritage programmes and presents exhibitions to connect the past, present and future generations of Singaporeans. This programme is designed to deliver hands-on and cross-disciplinary experience..

During the internship, you will be presented with opportunities to learn from experienced officers and be exposed to variety of work projects. You will be required to take on or be involved in a pre-assigned project and complete the deliverables by the end of the internship.

Institution: Ministry Of Health (MOH) 

Through MOH, the Government manages the public healthcare system to ensure that good and affordable basic medical services are available to all Singaporeans.

The ministry is looking for undergraduates and postgraduates with keen interest in a healthcare career to join us for an internship. You will be attached to a specific division and work alongside our officers on projects that shall contribute towards our mission.

Company: Changi Airport Group (CAG)

Institute: Social Service Institute

AWARE is Singapore’s leading gender equality advocacy group. AWARE is dedicated to removing gender-based barriers.AWARE is seeking interns in the following departments. Advocacy, Research & Communications (ARC): Our research teams use both quantitative and qualitative methods to produce reports, position papers, and policy submissions on a wide range of issues with an impact on women’s rights and welfare, and gender equality.
