SINGAPORE – A 30-year-old man is slated to be charged on Aug 20 after he allegedly slashed another man with a Swiss Army knife at City Plaza mall off Geylang.

The suspect was arrested on the afternoon of Aug 18, after the police were alerted to an incident at 810 Geylang Road at 9.20am, the police said on Aug 19. This is the mall’s address.

The police added that preliminary investigations showed that the suspect purportedly got into a dispute with the victim and allegedly attacked him with the knife.

He will be charged with voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons. If found guilty, he may be jailed, fined, caned, or receive any combination of such punishments.
