SINGAPORE - A man was injured after a chain collision on Seletar Expressway (SLE) on Tuesday morning (July 10).

The police said they were alerted to an accident involving two cars, two lorries, a pickup truck, a van, a bus and a motorcycle at 6.39am.

The accident took place on SLE, towards the Central Expressway, before the Mandai exit.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that it was alerted to the accident at about 6.40am.

The injured man, a 32-year-old passenger on the pickup truck, was conscious when taken to Khoo Teck Puat hospital in an SCDF ambulance.

Two other persons were assessed by SCDF medics, but declined to be taken to hospital.

In a video uploaded on Facebook group Singapore Bus Drivers Community, a blue bus and a light-coloured van are seen stationary in the centre lane of a three-lane-wide expressway.

The bus appears to have collided into the side of the van, which has a damaged rear.

Debris can also be seen strewn on the road behind the bus.
