Man injured after two-car accident along Upper Pickering Street

SINGAPORE - A 28-year-old driver was sent to the hospital after an accident involving two cars along Upper Pickering Street on Saturday (June 9).

Police said they were alerted to the accident at 11.55am, along Upper Pickering Street towards Pickering Street.

The driver was conscious when taken to Singapore General Hospital.

Photos posted on social messaging platform Telegram showed a silver car tipped onto its right, by the entrance of Parkroyal hotel.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said no one was trapped in the car.

The Straits Times understands that the driver, who was sent to the hospital, managed to escape from the car before SCDF officers arrived at the scene.

Police investigations are ongoing.
