The family and friends of Mr Yap Soon Huat, 63, who died when a lorry knocked him and two others down on Monday, say he was generous and loved to help others.

Mr Yap, along with Mr Chua Cheng Thong, 86, and Mr Chua's daughter Gina Chua Aye Wah, 59, were standing on the pavement in Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6 near the Yio Chu Kang MRT station when the lorry mounted the pavement and slammed into them. They died on the spot.
