SINGAPORE - A 30-year-old man suspected of stealing valuables worth nearly $6.25 million from a home in Cairnhill Circle has been arrested, the police said.

In a statement on July 4, the police said a gemstone and branded luxury watch – valued at a total of $6,200,000 were reported stolen from the home on July 2 at about 9pm.

The man had also allegedly stolen a handbag, a pair of sandals and a pair of sneakers worth $46,200, the statement added.

The stolen items have been recovered, and the man is expected to be charged on July 5. If found guilty, he can be jailed up to seven years and fined.
