SINGAPORE – A 30-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stealing money from a fellow passenger during a flight to Singapore on Feb 4.

According to preliminary investigations, a passenger saw the man, a Chinese national, touching her bag on the overhead compartment of the aircraft, the police said on Feb 5.

After confronting him and checking her bag, she discovered that US$885 (S$1,193) in cash was missing.

When the plane landed at Changi Airport, officers from the Airport Police Division conducted an investigation with the cabin crew’s assistance.
