Numerous challenges have come thick and fast for one Singapore couple, but the strength of their bond has proven remarkably resilient - a tale as heart-warming as any as St Valentine's Day approaches.

Businessman Chandru Vishindas and Madam Pooja Baharani Ghansham were teenage sweethearts and each other's first love when they met at age 15. A year later, Mr Vishindas proposed and the couple, both now 39, eventually married in 2004. Three years later, their daughter Rheanna was born and life was good. But everything changed forever on June 20, 2012.
