Former chief executive of PSA Corp Ng Chee Keong, 68, takes over as chairman at Jurong Port from today.

Mr Ng had served for 34 years at PSA and was part of the senior leadership before he retired in 2005. Among his posts, he had been the president and CEO of PSA Singapore.

Mr Ng has been a Jurong Port board member since 2012. He also sits on the board of Mencast Holdings and Samudera Shipping Line, and serves as deputy chairman of Keppel Club.

Mr Ng succeeds Mr Lee Chong Kwee, who served as Jurong Port chairman from January 2009 until yesterday.

Two new board members, Mr Robert Yap Min Choy and Mr V. Sivarajan, joined Jurong Port today.

Mr Yap was formerly president of DFS Venture and sits on the board of Fullerton Healthcare Corporation, Sunseap Group, Y3 Technologies and Rock Productions.

Mr Sivarajan was former managing director of PSA Marine and PSA India. He has more than 40 years of experience in finance, internal audit and operations in the port industry.

Meanwhile, board member Subramaniam Iyer, who has served since 2010, stepped down yesterday.

With the new appointments, there continue to be nine members on the Jurong Port board.

The other members are Messrs Png Cheong Boon, Andre Maniam, Chew Men Leong, Eng Aik Meng, Ms Oon Kum Loon and Jurong Port's chief executive Ooi Boon Hoe.
