Judge acquits man of running red light, questions quality of identification evidence

A motorist accused of a minor traffic offence where the issue was mistaken identity has been acquitted, with the judge noting that it took a lengthy two years for the case to reach trial.
District Judge Christopher Goh suggested it was time police officers on duty at a traffic site began using video equipment to capture offending vehicles "as a matter of course, if this is not already the case".
