SINGAPORE - Singapore's Land Transport Authority (LTA) and Malaysia's MyHSR Corporation will be calling for a joint tender on Monday (Aug 22) for a firm to act as a joint development partner, assisting in the development of the Singapore-Kuala Lumpur High Speed Rail project.

The tender follows the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the governments of Malaysia and Singapore on July 19.

In a joint release on Friday (Aug 19), the two agencies stated that the selected firm would have to provide project management support as well as technical and procurement advice for systems and operations for the high speed rail system.

It will also be expected to develop technical and safety standards for the project, and assist the two countries' joint project team with preparing documents for upcoming tenders relating to the joint aspects of the project.

The tender is open to firms which have previously advised on large public-private partnership infrastructure projects, including high speed rail projects of similar size and complexity.

Firms with experience in providing project management, technical, commercial or legal advisory services relating to high speed rail systems or rail projects with 200km of track may also apply.

More information will be available online at MyHSR's website (http://www.myhsr.com.my/tender.php) and LTA's website (www.lta.gov.sg/hsr) from Monday (Aug 22).
