SINGAPORE - During the Budget speech on Feb 18, Finance Minister Lawrence Wong announced that the Government will co-fund the wage increases of lower-wage workers for up to five years.
Under the new Progressive Wage Credit Scheme, the Government will foot up to half of the higher wage bill for employers who raise the pay of their lower-wage Singaporean and permanent resident workers.
