SINGAPORE - Business e-mail compromise (BEC), or "CEO fraud", is an increasingly prevalent crime reported globally, with losses from it doubling from 2017 to last year, warned Interpol director of cybercrime Craig Jones on Monday (Sept 30).
Speaking to The Straits Times at the Interpol Global Complex for Innovation in Napier Road, Mr Jones, 51, added that the average person should be aware of the crime trend, too, as it may impact him indirectly.
