The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) has settled a lawsuit by the family of a schizophrenic in-patient who ended up in a persistent vegetative state following an April 2017 incident when he allegedly choked on the food he was fed.
Responding to The Straits Times last week, an IMH spokesman said the case had been resolved amicably, on a confidential basis, without any admission of liability.
