Can creative talent be learnt? 60% can be taught but 40% is God-given, says design guru Mario Garcia

Mario Garcia has been involved with the redesign of more than 700 publications​ in 120 countries in print and digital. He talks to Sumiko Tan about the design process and whether creativity is something you're born with or can be learnt.

Whenever Mario Garcia sees pictures hanging higgledy-piggledy on the wall, he has to resist the urge to reorganise them.

“I mean, there are people who have no sense of space and distance,” says the renowned Cuban-American media designer.
