Tight squeeze for residents of DBSS project

SOME residents of a premium Housing Board project in Pasir Ris have complained that their corridors are too narrow.

At 1.2m wide, the common corridors at Pasir Ris One are technically within safety regulations, but some residents say it means they cannot place items outside their homes without infringing on Singapore Civil Defence Force guidelines.

"My neighbour and I cannot even open our doors at the same time," said a resident who lives in a five-room flat on the ground floor.
