SINGAPORE - A crane from the construction site of upcoming condo Sant Ritz, in Potong Pasir, toppled over on Tuesday and crashed into the front yard of a semi-detached house across the road.

The incident occured along Tai Thong Crescent in the evening, with the crane narrowly missing the house itself but destroying the property's fence and front drive.

Construction workers at the scene said they were unsure how the crane could have toppled, and that it had been unmanned at the time of the incident. The Singapore Civil Defence Force was alerted at around 5pm, and a spokesman said no injuries were reported.

Santarli Construction, the company building the Sant Ritz, is understood to be working with the Ministry of Manpower in investigating the incident.

Manpower Minister Tan Chuan-Jin also visited the site.

"The contractors are dismantling the crane and need to bring in a heavier one to lift these out of the way," he wrote in a Facebook post.
