Using ez-link card to mark school attendance

Madrasah students will need to scan their ez-link cards to mark their attendance, with a new app developed by Al-Amin Mosque and a group of volunteers called Void Deck Ventures. The pilot scheme, which will be tested at the mosque in Telok Blangah, was announced by Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs, at the mosque's 25th anniversary dinner last night.

An SMS will be sent to parents when students are late or absent. They will also be notified when classes end.

Over 500 guests attended last night's dinner.
