Man, 59, found dead in rental flat

A 59-year-old man was found dead, alone in his rental flat, yesterday. Taxi driver William Koh's body was found on his bed after police and Singapore Civil Defence Force officers broke into his home at Lorong 1 Toa Payoh at about 8pm.

A fellow cabby, who gave his name only as Mr Ho, went to look for Mr Koh after he failed to show up for work for three days. He called the police after calls and knocks on the door went unanswered. Police are investigating.


More traffic accidents involving children

Traffic accidents involving children aged 12 and below rose in the first nine months of this year. There were 179 such accidents from January to September, compared with 150 in the same period last year - a 20 per cent rise.

Last year, there were 199 traffic accidents involving children, up from 188 the year before.
