A car was crushed not by a falling tree, but by a walkway shelter at a carpark in Bukit Batok West Avenue 6 yesterday morning. The shelter came crashing down after it was struck by a lorry. The driver allegedly forgot to lower the lorry's crane, which hit the roof. No one was hurt and the lorry driver has been arrested by police. The Jurong- Clementi Town Council hired a contractor to remove the shelter.
