An employment quota to get more people with disabilities into the workforce will not work in Singapore, says the Government.
Such a system would introduce labour market inflexibility and invite competing calls for quotas for other segments of the workforce, such as for ethnic minorities, said a spokesman for the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF).
