SINGAPORE – Finding dormitory spaces to rent for migrant workers has become a challenge, with companies reporting a shortage that has driven up costs. Some large and medium-sized construction companies said they are concerned with the situation and are bracing themselves for higher fees when their current tenancy contracts expire.
Mr Kenneth Loo of Straits Construction Singapore (SCS) said it is now more costly to secure dormitory spaces.
