SINGAPORE - Seeing the huge street displays in Chinatown being lit up is a significant part of the Chinese New Year experience for many Singaporeans.

One of them was Ms Connie Lee, 46, who went to Chinatown on Saturday (Feb 6) evening expecting to see the street light-up.
