Perhaps the health insurance review committee should look at whether Singapore wants to introduce the right for policyholders to switch insurers without penalty. Policyholders have little say once they have developed some chronic ailments - and that is true of more than half the people aged 50 years and older. They have to take what their insurer offers, or walk away from the coverage.
