SINGAPORE - Fifty Singaporeans, born on Aug 9 1965, will get free health screening at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital as it celebrates Singapore's Jubilee year.
The screening package will include a basic medical examination and in-depth measurements of health indicators such as hearing, vision and body fat percentage.
It will also include tests for cancer tumour markers and genetic markers that affect metabolism and other factors.
Regular health screening, along with proper diet and exercise, is important for maintaining good health, said Ms Joycelyn Ling, the hospital's CEO.
She said: "Arresting potential health problems early will go a long way in influencing treatment outcomes and help ensure we enjoy the highest possible quality of life in our golden years."
The free screening is limited to the first 50 eligible people who sign-up. Those eligible can call 6235 7010 to make an appointment.
The screening package must be redeemed between Aug 9 and Sept 30 this year, at the hospital's executive health screening centre.
