Logistics executive Angela Lim, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2010, said she used to put beauty before health and allowed her condition to worsen. It was only after a medical review last year that she began to embrace a strict fitness routine.

A I was a sprinter in school but stopped exercising regularly after that. I tried to do so only after I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 2010.
