SINGAPORE - The Housing Board has launched 4,841 flats for sale on Wednesday (Aug 17) under the August 2016 Build To Order (BTO) exercise.
These flats are spread across five projects - three in the non-mature towns of Hougang, Sembawang and Yishun, and two in the mature town of Tampines.
Application for the BTO flats can be submitted online at the HDB InfoWEB (www.hdb.gov.sg/cs/infoweb/hdb-sales-launch) from Wednesday (Aug 17) to Aug 23. Applicants may only apply for one flat type in one town.
A wide range of flats, comprising two-room Flexi to Three-Generation (3Gen) flats, will be offered.
The BTO launch in Hougang, named Buangkok Woods, is bounded by Buangkok Crescent and Buangkok Link. It has 711 flats, comprising 364 units of two-room Flexi, 97 units of three-room and 250 units of four-room flats. A childcare centre will be provided in the development.
Residents will be served by the Buangkok MRT station. For their shopping and dining needs, residents can head to Hougang Green Shopping Mall, Hougang 1 or the Neighbourhood Centre at Hougang Avenue 8.
There are also Hougang Mall and Kang Kar Mall at the Hougang town centre where the Hougang MRT station and bus interchange are located.
Other nearby facilities include the Buangkok Park Connector, Hougang Stadium, Hougang Swimming Complex, Hougang Sports Hall, Cheng San Public library, and Punggol Community Club.
In Sembawang, the East Delta @ Canberra is bounded by Canberra Way and Canberra Street, near Sungei Simpang Kiri.
There are 570 flats comprising 304 units of four-room and 266 units of five-room flats.
An eating house, minimart, shops and a childcare centre will be provided.
The project is served by a network of bus services, providing transport links from EastDelta @ Canberra to the proposed Canberra MRT station which is under construction, Sembawang MRT station and bus interchange, and Sembawang town centre.
Residents can shop and dine at Sun Plaza, Sembawang Shopping Centre and Sembawang Mart.
Other facilities include a park connector that leads to various parks in Sembawang.
In Yishun, the Valley Spring @ Yishun is bounded by Yishun Avenue 6 and Avenue 8.
There are 824 flats, comprising 416 units of two-room Flexi, 100 units of three-room and 308 units of four-room flats.
A childcare centre will be provided. Residents can shop at Yishun Mall. For recreation, residents can visit Yishun Park and Yishun Swimming Complex. Medical services are available at Yishun Polyclinic (interim) and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
The project is linked by a network of bus services, providing transport links to the Yishun Town Centre, where there are more shopping and dining options, such as Northpoint Shopping Centre. Yishun MRT station and bus interchange provide connectivity to the rest of Singapore.
In Tampines, the two BTO projects are: Tampines GreenVerge and Tampines GreenView, located along Tampines Avenue 6.
Residents of both projects will be served by a wide range of facilities in Tampines Regional Centre, where the Tampines MRT Station and bus interchange are located. There are plenty of shopping, dining and recreational amenities such as Century Square, Tampines 1, Tampines Mall, Sun Plaza Park, Tampines Swimming Complex and Tampines Regional Library.
This is the third BTO launch so far this year, bringing the total number of BTO flats offered this year to 12,781 units.
Together with the 5,170 balance flats offered in May, HDB has offered a total of 17,951 units this year to meet the housing needs of Singaporeans.
In November this year, HDB will offer about 5,090 BTO flats in Bedok, Bidadari, Kallang Whampoa and Punggol. About 5,000 balance flats will be offered in a concurrent Sale of Balance Flats exercise.
