Guard rail trial: LTA will not deploy new systems as they do not enhance current protections

SINGAPORE - Two trials that were launched in 2018 in a bid to improve safety on roads will not be implemented.

After studying the capabilities of the motorcyclist protection system and the roller barrier system, which both involve guard rails, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) said it found that they did not improve what is currently used here.
