SINGAPORE - While local vegetable and seafood farmers are encouraged by how far they have come in land-scarce Singapore, they are not yet satisfied with the amount of home-grown food they are producing.

The cost of scaling up aquaculture technology, need for talent, and limited consumer support for local produce are some of the challenges they face as Singapore makes a push to strengthen its food security against export shocks and the impact of climate change.
