From bridging generations and breaking fitness barriers to easing daily challenges and uplifting lives, these inspiring stories show that the spirit of community shines brightest when communities come together as one.

Easing traffic woes, strengthening bonds

When a nearby mosque’s renovations in 2023 caused parking challenges at

Masjid Ahmad Ibrahim

, residents at Springleaf estate faced traffic disruption, especially during Friday prayers and festive seasons.

Instead of letting unhappiness create rifts, the mosque worked with Nee Soon South Grassroots Organisations on the Road Safety for All initiative. They implemented solutions: designated parking zones, directional signage, social media updates and a volunteer corps comprising both residents and mosque attendees.

In a display of interfaith solidarity, Spiritual Grace Presbyterian Church offered up to 50 parking spaces for Friday prayers. Through these collective efforts, friendships have formed, community bonds have strengthened and traffic has been eased.

Championing inclusivity, breaking fitness barriers

The Fit for All programme at imPAct@Hong Lim Green has grown into a significant force for inclusive fitness since its pilot in 2022. With

Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) Limited

championing the cause, more than 30 employees have served as fitness buddies to support Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) and their caregivers.

Beneficiaries select essential items they need, reducing financial strain and food waste.

Corporate partners, including Geoscan, OTS International Singapore, Pan-Malayan Pharmaceuticals, Sofresh Pte Ltd, TAK Products & Services Pte Ltd, Tan Sum Joo Provision Shop, Thermo Fisher Scientific and Withers KhattarWong LLP, as well as various schools, helped strengthen the initiative through donations and volunteer support.

Spreading love, inspiring minds

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)

has been a steadfast partner in building a caring community by contributing to meaningful initiatives. Since 2022, TCS has supported the Joy Box initiative in Tampines Changkat Division by delivering over 120 Christmas gifts to residents in senior homes and community hospitals. In a scaling up of community engagement, 120 TCS employees and their families joined grassroots leaders for Cheng San-Seletar Division’s Mental Wellness Day, benefitting about 18,000 households.

The company’s social impact extends to youth development through their Go Innovate Together (goIT) programme, where IT professionals mentor students from lower-income families, building their confidence through digital skills training.

Serving hearts, deepening intergenerational ties

Through partnerships with Tung Ling Community Services and Dakota Crescent Residents’ Network (RN), students at

Broadrick Secondary School

welcomed about 60 seniors through their Hearty Breakfast and Memorable Hearty Bites programmes. These occasions included celebrations during Chinese New Year and National Day, where the students served meals while engaging in conversations with their senior friends.
