Forget about being truly forgotten on the Internet

A court ordering Google to remove some online history is well and good, like in the recent landmark case. However, everything we've put online can be screen-captured. And how does deleting just Facebook accounts do much to protect our privacy?

I forgot the password. So forget about getting back my data.

I couldn't give my new phone the number key (pet death date or number of plants killed?) it wanted so it could fill itself with my old data.
