The newly renovated Novena Church in Thomson Road held a Good Friday service yesterday, its first after a three-year, $54 million overhaul. About 1,700 worshippers watched a play depicting Jesus Christ's journey to Calvary, where he was crucified. This was followed by a church service in the afternoon.
