A new Ci Yuan Community Club, the first community club to have its own hawker centre and Family Medicine Clinic, was opened by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Sunday morning (Sept 20).

All 40 stalls at the hawker centre sell at least two items pegged at $2.80 and a section is also open 24 hours a day.

The Hougang Family Medicine Clinic @ Ci Yuan Community Club, the seventh to open in Singapore, provides a variety of personalised healthcare options.

The four-storey community club, at Hougang Ave 9, is in Ang Mo Kio GRC helmed by PM Lee, and also has a 500-seat theatre with digital sound and light equipment.

Joining PM Lee were his fellow Ang Mo Kio GRC MPs and Sengkang West MP Lam Pin Min. Also present was former Ang Mo Kio GRC MP Yeo Guat Kwang, who was in charge of the Ang Mo Kio-Hougang Division when construction works started in 2013.
