SINGAPORE - A fire broke out at health club Fitness First Platinum, on the 16th floor of the Marina Bay Financial Centre (MBFC) Tower 3 on Wednesday afternoon.
A Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) spokesman said it received a call at 12.41pm about the fire. It dispatched two fire engines, two fire bikes, a Red Rhino, one ambulance and three support vehicles to the scene.
No one was injured, and the fire had been extinguished by the gym's sprinkler system by the time the SCDF arrived.
A spokesman for Fitness First Singapore said in a statement: "There was a small fire today at Fitness First MBFC outlet."
"It appears to have originated in the women's sauna area and was contained there."
The gym is working to establish what caused the fire.
It will re-open on Thursday.
