For Luo Tianze, playing the saxophone is not only a way to express his feelings, it is also a way to pay tribute to his parents, who encouraged him to pursue a career in music.
In a span of five months, Luo Tianze lost both his parents to cancer. Their deaths, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, came at the end of a seven-year ordeal for the 31-year-old and his family.
His parents will not be there to witness his graduation from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Nafa) and fulfil his long-standing dream of becoming a professional musician.
