SINGAPORE - If you were watching the National Day Parade (NDP) live on TV on Sunday (Aug 9), chances are you would have caught a glimpse of Ms Emma Lee.

After all, it's not often someone comes along to steal the limelight from the combined singing talents of the likes of Kit Chan, Stefanie Sun and Corrine May.

Seated among the Padang crowd, Ms Lee - dressed in a red outfit with white pearl necklace - appeared to be a frequent muse of the camera crews covering the parade.

She cropped up several times throughout the two-hour-long broadcast, and could be seen waving a Singapore flag and singing along to NDP theme songs.

Her identity was initially a mystery, with enamoured netizens calling for an "investigation" on popular local forum Hardwarezone.

The Nanyang Post solved the case by tracking down her Weibo account, which has a photo of her decked out in the same ensemble.
