SINGAPORE - Some warm days can be expected in the next two weeks, with the temperature reaching a high of 34 deg C on some days.
The daily temperature on most days is expected to range between 24 deg C and 33 deg C, the National Environment Agency (NEA) said in a weather advisory on Thursday (Feb 16).
A monsoon surge in the South China Sea which brought more rain to Singapore is expected to taper off in the next one or two days.
For the rest of February, short and thundery showers are expected in the afternoon on six to eight days. They could extend into the evening on a few days, NEA said.
The showers may be heavy on days when there is strong solar heating of land areas and convergence of winds over the region.
The rainfall for the month is expected to be slightly above normal.
Despite the forecasted warm weather, the daily minimum temperature could dip to around 22 deg C on rainy days, NEA said.
